2016 The Haunted Barn Stoughton (PERMANENTLY CLOSED) Event Reviews

We had a blast at The Haunted Barn this year and noticed a number of improvements! A lot of details were added since we were there last a couple years ago. Many of the actors did a great job in their timing of scares! I have to say that the one thing I didn't like were that there were a few (I think 3) places where we actually had to crawl on hands and knees. I'd mentioned that I had a bad back and I'm sure I looked very awkward trying to get through. After we were done I found out they could have taken me on alternate passages; it would have been nice if someone had mentioned that to me ahead of time. Other than that, it was a lot of fun. The fortune teller was entertaining. Although, we found out she gave the same story to each group who saw her (at least to the four groups in a row who I talked to). And even though it was raining, they were very accommodating and let us wait indoors--that was nice! We hope you visit the Haunted Barn!

Okay, this is my favorite haunt in Wisconsin. I am a veteran haunter myself, so I don't go for the scares, I go for the artistry. That being said, this is a beautiful haunt. I have been a fan of Haunted Barn for several years now, and the primary reason is their attention to detail. This haunt has a personality to it that you don't see in any of the other ones. The staff is well placed and well trained to perform in ways that are creepy and not nearly as gimmicky as other houses. The props, staging, and sets are phenomenal! I like many, many aspects of this house. It's a good house for people who are looking for a scare, as well, because there are many unexpected scares that come out of it, but at the same time, I think that the staff seems to be aware of the sensitivity levels of its patrons, and can amp up or dial back as needed. Definitely make the drive out for this one!

This haunt is top notch! I can't believe they fit so much horror into one little barn. This is definitely a must see if you enjoy being completely terrified.

Scared the crap out of me! Amazing place!!

The haunted attraction was great!!!!! Every corner had a scare!! This years theme was pretty good but could have been darker to heat the moments up! Found out about the second slide after going down the small slide, the only other thing I would do is change the "clowns" I honestly didn't get thrilled with the being held up and getting told to "shut up" every moment. Being held by someone in a corner...the clown thing was the worst ending of this haunted attraction. But I turly enjoyed this attraction!!!
