It was an epic failure of a haunted house. There was barely any people jumping out or anything. I was extremely disappointed and so were the other 3 people with me. Luckily we got the tickets half off so we didn't waste too much money. I would save your money and go somewhere else. The mine shaft was ok, but the walk through the corn feild was EXTREMELY pathetic. And the woods were really lame too. The ride was alright i guess.
Not that great, would not go there again.

Wait was long. Que line actors were aweful. Came out of character several times and hit on girls in line. One removed his mask to blow his nose, gross. This haunt has three types rolled into one. Haunted mine shaft, hay ride, and corn maze. Mine shaft was pretty good but needs lighting work. It was hard to see scares in the glare. Hay ride was pretty good. Corn maze was muddy.
Very good effort on this one. Needed some help in some areas but over all pretty good. The actor at the start of the corn maze was good and the roving character at the slaughter house had great vocal sounds. Very creepy.
Enjoyed this one pretty well.

I am not sure where to begin, I love this haunt. The setting is right in the middle of nowhere, but my GPS took me right to their lit sign. There were creatures working the parking lot before you even entered the store to purchase tickets. Their concession area was the best I have ever seen. Popcorn candy and pop of course, along with hot dogs, nachos, hot chocolate, cider, cappuccino and those giant pretzels I love. The que was in a giant barn and wound around huge hay bales the actors worked on top of. With all the activity it did not seem like 45 min. before we were getting the story of the farm and heading up to the ominous mine shaft entrance. I swear this is a real mine shaft that ends up in a great haunted house. When you come out there is a fire and actors doing a fortune telling bit to entertain you until your whole group is through the house. Next you are loaded on a wagon. Not just any wagon, this thing has seats and special effects built in, along with a sound track that matches the scenes. The natural eeriness of the ride is only enhanced by fire breathing demons and dragons, and ghouls that attack the wagon. I lost track of how many scenes we traveled through over what must have been 100 acres and then as the sound track says “Just when you thought it was over” they get you off the wagon in the middle of a pine forest. There is another bon fire here and someone to send your group through the woods 2 or 3 at a time. Again there is a ton of scenes including a grave yard, cabin and slaughter house that will blow your mind. And if that was not enough there is a trail through the corn field where actors come out of nowhere to chase you through. Our group of 4 had a great time. When I checked my watch I figured we were just entertained for about an hour. One last stop at the concessions area for a pop and a great looking sweat shirt. We could not stop talking about what we liked best.
The dark side is like 4 haunts in one. With the enormity of this place I cannot wait to see what they offer next year.

Save your money, not scary, not even fun.
Long wait in a hay filled barn, walk up hill to "haunted" mine, this is the only part that was ok (just ok), then to a "haunted hay ride" very predictable, then a walk through the woods and a "cornfield" (not a maze) with people "hiding in the corn to say "Raaar". we drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and was very disappointed.
If you truely like Scary Haunted Houses then dont waste your time or money on this one.

Location: Haunt is located on a farm. Easy to find as they have lighted signs to direct you. The only down side is the road you have to drive down is a small farm road so hard for cars to go both ways on the road.
Parking: As it is on a farm, there is plenty on parking on their grass field.
Price: At $15 the price is great for the amount you get.
Length: Total time is around 1 hour
Waiting Area: They have you wait in a barn that has hay to direct you around the barn. Actors hiding out to scare you while you wait. The only down side is you spend a lot of time standing in there. The haunt takes people in groups of 20 or so, so you will stand in the same place for a while. Would have like to see a seating area where they called numbers. They do have refreshments, but they are located in the outer part of the barn. If we had known, we would have gotten something before we entered the line area.
Haunt: Haunt is split into a haunted mine, haunted hay ride, walk through a haunted woods and then a corn field. The haunted mine had some great effects and lots of actors. The down side is they relied on the dropped hole in the wall and screaming at you a bit to much. At the end of the mine, you wait by a fire for the rest of the 20 people in your group. Some great actors out there to keep you entertained. Then you get on the hay ride. At this point all the actors from the house come out and continue to scare you as you ride off. The ride takes a while to get to the area where the scares are. Would have liked to see them do something along the way. The actors in the ride area are great and will jump up and sit next to you. Some really great elements along the ride. I don't want to spoil it but there will be at least one scare that will get you to jump out of your seat. They drop you off in the woods, where you wait to walk back. They send everyone in small groups of 2-3 people. They have a fire to keep you warm while you wait. The woods and cornfield were a disappointment. There were not enough actors to provide a good scare, and the scenes they set up were not complete. The best scare and actor was ruined by seeing him attack the groups before us.
Overall a fun haunt for the money. Great for families as it is not too scary and allows a parent to pair up with their kid for a bonding event. If you do a lot of houses like me, you will not find it scary.
