Signage / Visibility / Location
With the help of the directions off of the website, very easy to find!
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
Very reasonable! While waiting to begin the creepy fun, the farm had a tv/vcr with fun Halloween based or ghoulish movies to watch, a gift shop area with plenty of items on hand to buy, and numerous picnic tables around to sit down while waiting to begin the creepy fun!
Length
Roughly 20 minutes of pure shocking terror!
Actors' Performance
Fantastic! The people running the haunt did know how to surprise and shock at the good points in time during the tour! The timing of the ghouls and monsters running out to scare the people was well coardinated!
Appropriate For
12 to 50 years old
Summary
Unfortunately at the time we went to the event it was raining so we could not take the pleasure in riding on Hinchley's hayride, but it was still a good time to be had no matter what the case! The amount of work and effort made by the employees at Hinchley Haunts to transform a simple barn into a world of horrorifying fun was well recognized by myself and the group of people I was with! The trip out to Hinchley Haunts may be a long drive for some, but it is well worth the trip!

Signage / Visibility / Location
Great Map Located on their site! Excellent directions. Barn was all, spooky-lite up, and visable from street.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
Wait time was not long. There was a barn with tables, t.v (playing Ghost Busters!), nicely priced refreshments, and a little shop. :)
Length
There was two events a Haunted Hay Ride, and a Haunted House. Unfortunatly we were not able to take the hay ride due to rain. But the the Haunted house ran about 20 minutes.
Actors' Performance
The haunted house ROCKED! The hinchley crew put together a horrorific display of sights and sounds! Their actors were very true to form, and had some of the best costumes & props I've seen in a wisconsin, haunted, event!
Appropriate For
8-99
Summary
Keep up the excellent work! Will be returning soon!

Signage / Visibility / Location
Very easy to find. Right on the highway
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
They had a large heated shed with picnic tables, refreshments including cookies, soda, and hot dogs. They also had a corner with a tv playing movies. These things made the wait time not seem too long or boring.
Length
Hayride: 20-30 minutes
Barn: 10-15 minutes
Actors' Performance
The actors for the haunted barn were great. They seem well prepared and knew what to do and when to do it. Seemed very organized.
The hayride had a well organized performance for the introduction before actually getting on the hayride itself. The actors in the field were good too. I didn't see any flaws with their timing.
Appropriate For
9+ for hayride 12+ for barn
Summary
I took my 8 year old son because he really wanted to do something more scary for Halloween than what is usually offered for his age group. The hayride was great. It wasn't too short, and I even got a few screams in since I didn't expect some of the monsters to jump out when they did. They even interracted with the people on the ride, so that made us laugh as well as scream. The barn was great too. Had an alien theme. My son was scared, but he's not your typical 8 year old. These got him ready for something even more scary.
I do recommend these two events. Made for a good night of fright and fun.

Signage / Visibility / Location
Easy to find, got distracted by another hay ride on the way from madison on 12/18.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
A 8 inch tv in the corner playing kiddie spook movies(ghostbusters, Hocus Pocus, etc.)
Length
Not counting the wait, about 5 minutes through the haunted house, 15-20 minute hay ride.
Actors' Performance
Hay ride with evil laughts and screams, it was pretty cool but it was cold. I only had a sweatshirt you will probebly need a coat.
Appropriate For
Children
Summary
Good story line in haunted house, had interesting decorations. The haunted house actors were very good! Paid 10$ per person for collage night. Considering the 2 hour combined wait for the haunted house and the hay ride, Not worth the money.

Signage / Visibility / Location
Easily found
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
Lengthy wait for haunted hayride and not much to do. Bat rescue people were showing live bats.
Length
30min hayride (too long)
5 min haunted barn
Actors' Performance
This was not your typical haunted house of unrelated spooks. There was a good storyline with great effects. I felt like I was in a movie set -- swept up into the panic that ensues after strange things happen in a government lab. The characters were great. Good special effects -- very high quality. The other nice thing was that there was no "touching" or other harassment from the spooks. The scares came from real surprises. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was well put together and executed.
Appropriate For
>10 year olds
Summary
I only wish the story could have been a little longer since I was enjoying it so much. However, my wife would have ripped my arm off if it had gone any longer.

Signage / Visibility / Location
Only real difficulty came more from me being a city boy and unused to farmland roads
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
Nothing during the WAIT, but you keep warm in this one building and they sort of start getting you to suspend disbelief as the "security patrol" walks you over to the haunt.
Length
pretty average for most haunts
Actors' Performance
Better than most. I really liked the coherent theme. It wasn't just a bunch of scary rooms put together slipshod, but more like the haunted houses I saw in Disneyworld last October, where there's a scary plot happening that your group has been sucked into. I was honestly surprised to see so much thought had gone into it, seeing as how I learned of the haunt from a flyer posted on an electrical pole on campus.
There's also a haunted hay ride, which took longer (maybe half an hour?) and was fairly lame.
Appropriate For
all ages allowed in public :)
