Signage / Visibility / Location
It was really easy to find since it was at State Fair Park. They had parking there but it was $5 so we parked on the street and walked over.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
There was one spook walking around while we were waiting. And they had a port-o-potty that was pretty neat.
Most Unique
I really liked the claustophobic walls that we had to go through, they were really neat. I also like the spinning vortex thing but thats not really unique. The Killy Killmore thing at the beginning was cool too.
Actors' Performance
I thought it was really good! There were several times the actors were like climbing on bars and stuff so they looked like they were fake. A lot of others looked like they were fake too but they were real people.
Summary
They gave us a flashlight but it quit working like halfway through...i think it was supposed to do that. But you didnt really need it anyway..it was pretty easy to find your way.

Signage / Visibility / Location
Very easy to locate since it's at Stair Fair Park.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
The ticket guy told us it would be more than a 2 hour wait, so we opted to pay $5.00 more for the $20.00 RVIP pass, which would be a 40-45 minute. We waited in line for only 5 minutes! If you go, take a look at the line before you go ahead and waste the extra $5.00! You may not have to.
Most Unique
Killy Killmore the talking skull at the beginning, and the creepy elevator ride.
Actors' Performance
Most of the actors came at you and screamed. Loudly. There were a few actors who would talk to get you moving in the right direction. But yeah, lots of in your face/ear/head screaming.
Summary
Ok, I have one main problem with this house, and I figure I better let people in on this before they go and spend their money. They give you a sensor-activated flashlight before you go into the house, but according to one of the staff members, this new flashlight technique is a "work in progress". Translation: It doesn't work well, at all. He told us that the flashlights would not work properly if you "swing it around, or back and forth a lot". Does it make sense, if this is a haunted house that's going to make you move around and thrash? My friend had control of the light, and she at no time swung the flashlight to and fro. Our group went through the entire house without a single light to lead the way, which should have been scary, but instead became very annoying because you couldn't see any of the decorations or actors' costumes. I came out of the house scratching my head, wondering what had just happened. Part of the scare process is being able to see what is coming at you. At least a dim/strobe light is needed. We had no light whatsoever, and several times we were boxed in an empty corner, going around in circles. I was mainly concerned that we would end up where we're not supposed to be, like "behind the scenes". It was fun for the first 10 minutes, but it got old really fast.

Signage / Visibility / Location
I have never been there before and it was quite easy to find.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
We were there on a Thursday, and there was no wait at all. They had some decent music playing in case you had to wait. No ghouls or anything walking around, but I can see that may have some on busier nights
Most Unique
The body bags were completely freaky to me!! It takes quite a bit to freak me out anymore and that did it...awesome room!
Actors' Performance
Many of the actors had lots of high energy. The girl in the maze was everywhere! I thought most of them could have had more dialogue instead of just high pitched screams. It just got a bit old after awhile. There was a rather tall robotic guy that could have been more scary if he would have used his size to invade space, but instead just stood there. All in all though, a great job!
Summary
I heard many good things about this haunt and was not disappointed. The actors could get even more into it though for some real in your face scares!!

Signage / Visibility / Location
I did not notice any signs but I did notice a hefty truck by Halloween Express that acts as a sign. The location is perfect. Is it very easy to go to the cream puff building becasue everyone who is from wisonsin knows where it is.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
I loved that you didn't have to wait in line, and even better it was inside. The only thing I did not like was that I didn't hear my number called, so i had to go in later. But overall, it was a fun atmosphere with the DJ's, and arcade games.
Most Unique
All of the halls were pitch black, but there was one room that was completely black that had strings hang down from the ceiling. Definetly gave my the willies.
Actors' Performance
One word, "EXCELLENT! The make-up so so realistic, my stomach actually churned once or twice. And the clowns make-up, VERY CREATIVE! Kudos to the make-up artists. It amazed me how they can keep their voices for some 8 hours a night. They all seemed so into it, and made me and my cousin belive that it was REaL.
Summary
This was my first year going, and I'm impressed! Definatly a go-see for everyone and I"m going next year.

Signage / Visibility / Location
They don't have too many signs. But i did notice some signs on the fences in front of state fair. The thing i thought was cool is that they rented a semi truck or something and got it painted and had their name on it.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
Once we got our tickets we had to go wait in a building that had a Dance going and they had an arcade and then they called our number and we went to the haunted house doors.
Most Unique
I think the most unique thing about the haunt was just the pure darkness and that we actually get flash lights. but ours broke!!! but then it turned back on....? i dont know that was pretty weird.
Actors' Performance
The actors were sooo scary!!!
they were soo weird! they all had their differnt ways of scaring us!!! their make up was soo...bloody..and ewwwww.
Summary
I am not going to lie but last years hauntfest wasnt the best. but this year was SOOOOOO AMAZINGG!!! i wasnt going to even come this year. im glad i did though.

Signage / Visibility / Location
Although they have signs up they are really small and some times hard to see. On the bright side they do have a pick-up truck with a large inflatable guy that flaps in the wind and a sign that lights up the entrance. The location is great because those who cant afford the gas to drive 45 minutes can easy find this place. I mean come on who doesnt know where State Fair park is.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
The waiting area is nice. Lots of body parts hanging and a live DJ that my friends and i danced to. They also have lots of video games to play while your waiting for your number to be called. After your number is called you are then walked over to another waiting area where you get ready to enter. This wasnt very organized but i was told the concept is new and it worked for the most part.
Most Unique
The one thing that stuck out in my mind is the new robot head they have, and the moving tunnel. This robot has it all. It tells you the rules of the haunt, has great lighting to it, and on top of all that it has smoke that comes out of it. This is a must see piece and adds a great touch to there haunt. I have never seen anything this advanced in a haunt before. Its almost worth to pay and go see this robot head. The tunnel that moves makes you feel like your falling and really messes with your head. Another great piece.
Actors' Performance
The actors were very good. My friends and i got scared and more then one occasion. There loud screams and deep devlish voices sent shivers down my spine. There were a few that could have had better timing but even when there timing was off it was still pretty funny to see. I have been here in the past and the actors have definently got better. Keep up the good work.
Summary
I recommend checking this haunt out for a great scare and awsome time.

Signage / Visibility / Location
Awesome. It's at State Fair Park, so incredibly easy to find. Just go to Gate 4 and it's right there. There are signs to guide you in.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
They have this new system this year where you take a ticket so never just have to stand around waiting in line. This is a great system as it allows you to wander around for a bit and go check out the music and other fun activities Hauntfest has going on!
Most Unique
Killy Killmore is great. You seriously just have to go to see this thing...so I'm not going to tell you exactly what it is!
Also, the inside of the haunt is SO much more than just actors popping out at you. You will not believe all of the special effects and situations you will come across that you won't expect--I don't want to ruin it for you, so just GO!
Actors' Performance
Amazing--they were SO into everything! None of the actors will ever touch you which was a major plus for me, but they absolutely play their roles! No disappointments here! They were good last year, but WAY better this time around!
Summary
This place is HUGE. Seriously its a haunt that just keeps going and going. And honestly, its terrifying. People WERE exiting the haunt because they COULDN'T FINISH IT! so this place is DEFINITELY worth your time and money! If you've gone before, GO AGAIN because it's COMPLETELY NEW and DIFFERENT!!!! YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!!

Sorry didnt go in the line.
Most Unique
Front Room, Walls you squeeze through, and a very tall werewolf
Actors' Performance
Limited and new
Summary
The lay out and the maze and the structures you encounter inside are superb! There are two walls called claustrophobic walls that you squeeze through. They are like the beanbag pillows, or close to that texture. Rick and I were laughing through both of them. The first one we went through, back upped, and went through it again. WE LOVED IT! The very first room had a GREAT animatronics Skelton head, which talked, chattered, and spewed out the rules. I kept waiting for him to ask me what I was looking at or some other smart-ass comment. He was great. A little hard to hear, but we were told afterwards that problem was soon to be fixed. I would of loved to seen him at the end telling me to get the hell out!
This was one of those places I could have done several times in a row. One of the first things Rick and I both noticed and commented on was ALL the BLACKNESS, more so then any haunted place we have been in. You know all of them have some rooms or hallways that are black and stay black, or light up at some point. There was A LOT of plain old DARK with out light. This is the first haunted we have ever been in where we were twisted and turned around A LOT in. I made the comment about maybe we should have brought a small flashlight, knowing we have never ever done that before. Come to find out at the beginning, if we had stood in line, we would have been issued one. (I will get to that story hold on).
Of course, we all know how hard I am on the actors that work these events. What kind of perfection and dedication and energy and creativity in customs I expect. Again, this event stood out with one actor and his custom. It was an extraordinary Werewolf Custom; I spent a lot of time looking at this creature. I think the actor himself might have thought I was a bit touched in the head.

Signage / Visibility / Location
This has to be one of the easiest places to find, right through gate 4 at state fair park and its right there! There is a little sign right at that gate to help people out that are not sure where that is.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
This was opening night for them which was also during Harvest Fair that was going on at state fair park so it was busy but not terribly busy and we didn't wait that long which is the best part. they seemed to usher people in fairly quickly, which was great! The actors outside were pretty good. but for the line that was there to me it didn't seem like they needed that many, Although they did scare some of the people and did a fairly job. like most haunted houses they had creepy music playing outside while you wait.
Most Unique
When we first got into the haunted house they have this really cool robot thing, they called it "Killy Killmore", that does this introduction and rules. Although not terribly scary to be i did see some people leave right away from that guy, while i waited in line, but that thing is Freeking cool! I would highly suggest coming just to see that thing!
Actors' Performance
For it being the opening night I thought it was pretty good, the actors i thoguht did a great job of scaring my girlfriend as we went through and alot of the actors did creep me out and got me a couple times and I am not that easily scared. There were a couple actors I thought could have been better but it was opening night so I might have to give them a break on that.
Summary
Overall I thought this was way better then the last couple years. The actors just on the first day seemed a lot better and were more into scareing people and did a better job. I will defiantly be going back again around halloween.
