Thank you Hartford jaycees for a awesome show! I absolutely loved it! Three of us went out to slinger last night to experience the 27th season of HJHH. Let me say the detail and the technical aspect did not disappoint. They cram so much into the house it is crazy!
We got there about 8:35 or so went into the house about 9:25 or so. We waited a little bit. The neat looking old barn did have heat and treats and a movie to watch while you waited for your ticket number to be called.
We went off through the haunted forest first which was short and sweet. Then made are way to an unique crawl feature before knocking on the door to doom!
The actual house was jam packed full of animatronics, ghouls , detail and fun. The actors were theatrical not relying too much on scary but still fun. Made us jump enough times which was awesome! Creepy humor was included in most of the actor's dialogue. I loved that part as well.

Summary

Overall if you came to pee your pants this haunt can be missed. But, if you came to jump, experience quality acting and sets then make Hartfor Jaycees a stop on your haunt tour!

This haunted house is ALWAYS a favorite of mine! They always do such a splendid job with set design, and the actors are always the best out of any haunt I have attended! I have going to this haunt for 9 or 10 years and though the concept is usually always the same, it NEVER gets old! The actors, sets and props are always the best and my reason for coming back every year. They always know how to get a scream out of you and keep you on your toes! I like that instead of the usual dark hallways you need to walk through to get form one room to another, they have you explore the hallways that are very well decorated and spotlight many interesting props! It feels like the fun never ends and actors come out of nowhere and at any moment so you are never to sure of when you will find one. The actors must be theater students, because they ALWAYS do a GREAT job and add a little humor to the experience which is really nice and adds to the fun of a haunted house!

Summary

I recommend this haunted house to people who are looking for something more than your ordinary haunted house. This haunted house is for those seeking great performances from actors and a fully entertaining and wonderful atmosphere. It is not REALLY scary, but scary enough to be fun. They defiantly give you your money's worth!

We arrived at this haunt just before closing and there were still a lot of people there - a good sign. We waited about 30 minutes before we entered the haunt which starts with a creepy dark walk through the woods. Once you enter the house, each room presents a new face and a new scare. The make-up, costumes, and FX are all pretty good. The actors all do a good job - a few of them stumbled over their lines. I appreciated that each room had an interactive actor who had a story and a presentation and encouraged us to stick around with him/her for a while, there wasn't much jumping out and yelling "boo," they went for the bigger scare, which I like. The only thing I was disappointed about was the number of animatronic scares throughout the house. They don't do much for me and I was let-down in a number of rooms because they relied on those creatures to scare us. Buzz-kill. Overall, though, a good haunt that lasts pretty long, so definitely worth it.

Summary

Check it out. It's fun and the actors are pretty good. Take your time on the woods walk - it's one of the scariest parts.

Attended the Hartford Jaycees Haunted House and 8 ppl in my group were disappointed. They didn't have many actors to scare you, they relied on props to scare. Also you have to watch out so the props don't hit you. I suggest if you have allergies that you don't attend. All 3 ppl in our group that have allergies got sick before they finished the trail. They did have some good scenes outside, like the skeleton band. That was cool.

Summary

If you have allergies I would suggest not attend.
