Signage / Visibility / Location

Right off of hwy 41! They have a typical "lit up" sign stating there name and where to go. There are plenty of people to guide you in.

Wait Area / Line Entertainment

We went VIP or as they call it "RIP" so there was no line. They also had a warm bonfire with plenty of chairs and benches. There was a large screen playing clips from "house of a 1000 corpses". There were also plenty of 'ghouls' walking around. The normal line looked pretty lengthy so I recommend an extra 8 bucks to skip it all and chill with free concessions until you are ready. The music they played was excellent and perfect for a haunted house.

Most Unique

well, first ... they are a 3D haunted house which just heightens the fear. But if you are claustrophobic watch out for the coffin near the end.

Actors' Performance

The actors were great from start to finish. Everyone was in character the WHOLE time and loved what they were doing. They did a great job at crowd control as they could "lock you up" or misdirect you if needed! The rooms were extra creepy because they were in 3D! They will warn you (and so will I) that you will be scared by a bucket!!

Summary

I was very blown away by this entire haunt. Shawano manor is a DEFINITE must for any haunt "go'er"! The actors are phenomenal and the house is well thought out. It is in a great location right in Green Bay, so if you live in the north do not miss it!

Signage / Visibility / Location

It was easy to find, pretty much right off the highway, and once you were close you could see the signs.

Wait Area / Line Entertainment

There was hardly any wait time, I'm guessing this was because it was the opening weekend.

Most Unique

There were two scares that got us more than anything else, and they happened walking up to the house... not in the house. Also, I must give props to their website. It's excellent, the best I've seen. It's what made us want to go to the house in the first place.

Actors' Performance

The overall actors performace was ok. They were trying, but it just wasn't very scary. The focus of the house seemed to be more of the 3-D aspect than scaring you. Again, this was the first weekend so they may have been light staffed.

Summary

They use a lot of neon colors that glowed and they used lots strobes. When wearing the 3-D glasses, it gave me a slight headache near the end. The music was not scary at all. It was banjo music... no, I'm not kidding.

I'm into old school scare: Dark places, creepy music, etc.. The trend of some houses is glow colors and visual effects. This house falls into the second catagory. I might have high expectations, but then again, there are other houses that meet them.
