Dr. Scary's at Jellystone Campground in Fort Atkinson was awesome!! Well worth the wait and money! The props and people working there were unbelievable!!! Had a nice theme and kept you interested and scared. The people/characters did an absolute fantastic job. They definitely could of been professional actors!! I have gone to many haunted houses/barns/woods and this by far has them all beat!!

Way AWESOME! This is one of the greatest haunts I have been through. I came with my friends and have been coming to haunts all over Wisconsin - screamed the whole time.
It is dark and creepy in places, things coming from the walls, and actors coming at you from everywhere. I screamed through the whole tour, everywhere I looked, there was someone there to jump out to scare me. The face makeup was outstanding! Kudos to the makeup people. There are things in this haunt to scare everyone, I highly recommend it!
Everything is so well planned, from the time I purchased my ticket, throught the tour and even an exit interview. They really take the time to make sure you have a very scary, yet enjoyable visit. Concessions were available after the haunt.
Must see if you like an awesome scare.

Oh my GOSH! This is one of the greatest haunts I have been through. I came with my friends and have been coming to haunts all over Wisconsin for over 20 yrs.

We drove 2 hours to come to this haunt. Everything is so well planned, from the time I purchased my ticket, throught the tour and even an exit interview. They really take the time to make sure you have a very scary, yet enjoyable visit. They even have concessions, which is great for when I needed to quench my thirst after the screamfest I just experienced! I will be visiting again this year, and bringing more friends!
Totally a great haunt! One of the best I have been through.

Dr. Scary's was even better than last year!!! We were freaked out before we even entered by a guy running around and through the crowd. The house itself is larger than last year, so they had more rooms. There were more big scares with new props. We just about p**d ourselves from some of the actors. We expected the chain saw guy to be last, but he wasn't, which took the fright factor to a whole new level. Just like I wouldn't want to tell you all the highlights of a movie, I'm going to leave it at that. This is a definite MUST for those who want a good scare or to laugh at your friends! But be warned, your friends may end up laughing at YOU! Also, I don't recommend this one for little kids--it's too scary. Definitely worth a drive from hours away! We found it last year from this website. Thanks! We will spread the word.
-big scares from beginning to end
-actors stayed in character
-located between Milwaukee & Madison and Beloit & Watertown

Having attended Dr. Scary's last year my wife and I returned for another good scare. Our overall impression was that the haunt had been revised enough to create a fresh and even more intense experience. Read on to learn about the pros and cons.
The Cons.
First, the bad news. The entrance to the haunt is from a dark road onto a narrow private drive that leads through a campground. Two employees were posted at the entrance to sell admission tickets and direct visitors to the haunt. Neither of them wore reflective garments, carried flashlights or showed much situational awareness regarding traffic. They parked a golf cart nearby, thus restricting traffic even more. My advice is to go slow and watch out for pedestrians, as they are apt to step in front of your vehicle. The same problem arose when we reached the parking area for the haunt. Several people were standing in the way even as they directed us to pass by, which I declined to do until they stepped aside. Once again, none of them wore reflective gear or carried flashlights and there were plenty of children running about so be careful. In terms of safety, I considered the situation unacceptable for a public event.
The second problem was that even though we arrived at 7:38 PM and the event was scheduled to open at 7:30 PM, we waited until 8:20 PM when the event was finally ready to open. We were actually the first customers in line and Dr. Scary's was simply not ready. That lack of planning is irksome, especially considering we had the same experience last year.
The Pros.
If you are still reading this then I assume you are willing to tolerate the previous complaints. The haunt was well worth the wait and provided plenty of entertainment value, with 39 actors hidden inside ready to scare the devil out of us. There was plenty of spooky atmosphere, ambient sound effects, movie-like sets in each room, and the entire haunt was quite well designed. I enjoy haunted house events but generally laugh my way through them. Dr. Scary's has proven to be the most frightening of the haunts we have visited in recent years. The staff and other visitors have always been friendly and in spite of the intensity of the scares, it was a family-friendly atmosphere.
This is well worth the drive and a good scary value for the money. Be sure to check out this haunt.
