Review

The House of Bathory has been my favorite haunt for the past couple of years. This year once again it remains at the top of my list. They have always been one of the only haunts left that has an "old school" style haunt. I have always loved the interactions that take part in each and every scene. By doing these interactions, it makes you feel as though you are part of the evil doings that are happening around you. I will warn you they are not afraid to touch you in this haunt. Dead by Dawn Productions chose a history theme for their haunt this year which I have never seen done by any other haunt I've ever been to. From the minute you walk up the steps in the House of Bathory till the minute you exit I felt as though I have traveled back in time to witness and take part in the horrific events that have happened in the past.

Signage / Visibility / Location

The location of this haunt is located right on the main street of downtown Manitowoc. It is very easy to find just look for the Mad Hatter sign that's in the window.

Wait Area / Line Entertainment

This haunt does have an outdoor wait area so with the unpredictable weather of Wisconsin make sure to dress appropriately. They did have a magician for your entertainment while you wait in line.

Actors' Performance

The actors really did an excellent job at assuming their roles of people from history. They all fit their roles perfectly and executed them without any flaws.

Length

It took about 25 minutes to walk the entire haunt.

Summary

Overall, this is a must see haunt. I would recommend it to anyone over the age of 15 just because of the more adult nature of some of the scenes and the scares that wait inside.
