The Haunted Mansion is permanently CLOSING. During its 14-year history, this school wide fundraising event expanded over time to include a corn maze, trail, bus ride, paintball, escape room, and mansion. In total, The Haunted Mansion raised over $415,000 for PreK-12 student programs in the Southern Door County School District and earned the title as Fan Favorite Northeast Region Haunted Attraction for 10 years!

While we are grateful for the more than 500 volunteers annually, much of the work fell on the shoulders of the mansion’s core leadership team who dedicated more than 4,000 volunteer hours each year. These were community members who already had full time jobs, but still set aside time in support of the kids. Understandably, as life changes happened for some of the core team, they announced they needed to take a step back from this enormous commitment. For the past month, The Haunted Mansion has sent out requests for new community members to join the core leadership team of volunteers. We sincerely appreciate those of you who did volunteer but unfortunately there wasn’t enough interest generated to fill the vacant core leadership positions.

We have so many people to thank for the years of support. We thank all of the incredible volunteers over the years, especially the core leadership team that put their whole lives into this adventure. We thank Quietwoods for hosting the event for 14 years, and we thank Door County KOA for inviting us to continue with them as well. We thank all of our sponsors who helped us financially. And of course, we thank all of our brave visitors over the years for coming out to the campgrounds year after year. Thank you all for the memories!
