Some of you may have noticed the My Fright Finder feature on Haunted Wisconsin where you can create a list of haunts you want to visit by clicking the skulls in the event list or clicking on the "Add to My Fright Finder" link in event listings.I use the feature to keep track of which haunts I want to go to each weekend. Ever want to see reviews from previous years? Well now you can without digging through our archives. Event operators have been asking for this feature for quite a while and we finally made it happen.Jenny and I over the past couple weeks did quite a bit of sorting through the last seven years of reviews, importing everything to the new site, and connecting the reviews to the correct events. We're working hard on My Fright Finder and hopefully we can make it a useful tool for remembering haunts you want to visit and planning scary nights out.I added some basic functionality tonight and plan to start adding the good stuff in the coming days and weeks. Right now you can add events from the list or the event pages and delete events from your list. Route planning, notes, and sharing are up next.
Today we upgraded the sites underlying framework to Django 1.1 and fixed the various bugs that cropped up. Let me know if you run in to any zombies caused by the upgrade.I made comments system to be a little nicer. Try it out and see if you like the new system.Finally, when you log in, you are now taken directly to your account page where you can manage your haunt information, blog, fright finder, etc.Enjoy!

If you are using IE7, you may have noticed the text in reviews can disappear. I put in a workaround for that rendering bug today. Last night I got to meet a few of the review crew members and it turns out they are as extraordinary in real life as they are online.I don't know much about most of the Review Crew members other than what can be gleaned from the applications and reviews they write but if pud27, majorXpsycho, dirkadirka, and those I've met in the past are any indication, than Wisconsin is one lucky state to have such talented and passionate individuals.We spend countless hours pouring over every application and weighing different factors when selecting the review crew members. The review crew application had an annoying limitation of 200 characters for any response (and you got an unhelpful "500 Server Error" if you went over that limit). This is the same bug we had last year that got a temporary fix then. Now I put the fix back in place and made it permanent this time.The application should be able to handle as much as you wish to type now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
